Most insurance companies pay for virtual visits. It is always best to confirm your benefits with your insurance company prior to care. After your visit, Ascend Medical will file a claim with your insurance provider. Any unpaid balance after the claim is paid will become your responsibility.
Ascend Medical Virtual Care healthcare providers look for symptoms such as fever, cough, and shortness of breath. Our Virtual Care team can evaluate your illness, identify if you are at risk, help manage your symptoms and recommend next steps.
If your online Atlanta based Virtual Care provider determines that you have a viral infection such as the flu, care at home via our Mobile Diagnostics Unit will often be recommended. Our medical team comes to your home, and can check your whole family, to check for complications that may arise (like pneumonia).
If the providers suspects you may have been infected with COVID-19, they will follow CDC guidelines to determine if testing is needed. If is needed, our Mobile Diagnostics Unit will come to your home test you (and any of your family members you wish to have tested) and give you results within 30 minutes.
The time it takes to receive a bill varies on your insurance company. Your insurance determines whether or not you are financially responsible for a balance of services based on your deductible and coverage.

We do not accept Medicare, but are in-network with Aetna Medicare Advantage and Humana Medicare Advantage plans.
